Focus and Scope

Darris: Jurnal Pendidikan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah is a journal to discuss about new critical studies of basic education, and investigated the dynamics of learning of children at the primary level (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah). Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education such as competency analysis, learning strategies, learning theory, learning development, educator professionalism, and research results. The scope of Darris: Jurnal Pendidikan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah is Curriculum Design in MI/SD, Learning (Math, Science, Social Studies, Civics, English, Indonesian, Islamic Education, Art and Local content) in MI/SD, Media and Educational Viewer tool in Learning in MI/SD, Learning Strategies in MI/SD, and Teacher Competence MI/SD.

Peer Review Process

  1. Reviewers will review any submitted paper.
  2. Review process employs a double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa.
  3. In the review process, reviewers consider the correspondence of title, abstract, discussion (findings) and conclusions. Beside, reviewers also examine the novelty, scientific impact, and references used in the paper.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

 

Publication Ethic

The publication of articles in the Darris Journal is an important foundation in the development of a coherent and respected knowledge network. This is a direct reflection of the quality of the author's work and the institutions that support it. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is therefore important to agree on standards of ethical behavior that are expected for all parties involved in the act of publishing: authors, journal editors, peer reviewers, publishers and the public.
Al Falah Islamic School (STAI) Banjarbaru, Indonesia as the publisher of Darris Journal takes the task of taking care of all stages of publishing seriously and we are aware of our ethics and other responsibilities. We are committed to ensuring that advertising, reprint or other commercial revenue has no impact or influence on editorial decisions.


Publication decision
The Darris Journal Editor is responsible for deciding which articles submitted to the journal should be published. The validation of the work in question and its importance to researchers and readers should always drive such decisions. Editors may be guided at the discretion of the journal's editorial board and limited by applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement and plagiarism. Editors may confer with other editors in making this decision.


Fair game
An editor evaluates manuscripts from time to time for their intellectual content regardless of the author's race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, nationality, or political philosophy.


Confidentiality
Editors and any editorial staff may not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the authors, reviewers, prospective reviewers, other editorial advisors and publishers, as appropriate.


Disclosure and conflicts of interest
Unpublished material disclosed in a submitted manuscript may not be used in the editor's own research without the written consent of the author.


Reviewer's Task

  • Contribute to editorial decisions.
  • Assisting the editor in making editorial decisions and through editorial communication with the author can also assist the author in improving the paper.
  • A reviewer who feels unqualified to review research reported in a manuscript or knows that direct review is not possible should confirm with the editor and withdraw from the review process.
  • Any manuscript received for review must be treated as a confidential document. They may not be displayed or discussed with others unless authorized by the editor.
  • The review process must be carried out objectively. Reviewers must express their views clearly supported by arguments/reasons.


Writer's Task

  • A manuscript must contain sufficient detail and references to allow others to replicate the work.
  • Authors must ensure that they have written a completely original work.
  • An author generally should not publish a manuscript describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or major publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time is unethical and unacceptable publishing behavior.
  • Proper acknowledgment of the work of others should always be given. Authors should cite publications that were influential in determining the nature of the reported work.
  • When an author discovers significant errors or inaccuracies in his published work, it is the author's obligation to immediately notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
